The annual statistics for the world’s most reliable car brands as voted by consumers is out now. It is no surprise that Asian manufacturers have secured almost all of the top places. Lexus secured first place, with Toyota taking second place and Buick, which is an American brand, coming in at third. Audi and Kia, both commonly preferred cars, finished fourth and fifth. Nearly each of the 9 Lexus car models scored reliability ratings that are above average. However, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma not favoured by its owners. The rest of the Toyota range did very well in terms of consumer ratings.
Buick is the first American manufacturer in over three decades to achieve the third position. This semi-luxury brand performed well particularly due to the fact that it has got only a few models. Besides that, it does not have any pickup truck-based SUVs or trucks to hurt its consumer ratings, as is in the case of Cadillac and Chevrolet.
The sole German manufacturer to make it to the top 8 is VW AG luxury Audi. Honda climbed down from its 'Top 8' position in 2015 to the 10th spot this year, since losing a lot of recommendations from consumers.
As per ratings of customers, the most reliable car brands in 2016 are as follows:
- Lexus
